Theatre Directing
I am a theatre director working across classical and contemporary texts, with a strong focus on ensemble, clarity of storytelling, and emotionally grounded performance.
My work is actor-led, text-driven, and rooted in collaboration.

Directing Statement
I direct classical and contemporary work with a strong ensemble focus, clear storytelling, and a contemporary sensibility that remains faithful to the spirit and language of the text.
I’m drawn to stories of coming of age, grief, and personal or community transformation — often rooted in literary sources or true events — and I aim to create work that feels emotionally immediate without relying on conceptual twists or imposed ideas.
Live music is often a key element of my practice. I use it as an extension of the ensemble rather than as decoration: shaping rhythm, atmosphere, and emotional undercurrents, and helping key images land with clarity and pace.
My work favours imaginative but simple staging, flexible use of space, and a collaborative rehearsal process.
